Installing smart apps

Smart apps are ready-made automations: motion-activated lights, schedules, thermostat programs, the Rule Maker and more. Developers can also write their own.

1. Open Automations → Smart apps and choose Add.
2. Pick the app and walk through its questions (which devices, which times, who to notify).
3. Save. The app starts immediately.

Afterwards, open the app's entry to change settings (it restarts with the new ones), pause and resume it, see its log, or remove it. Some apps have a Run button to trigger them by hand.
